The partners James and his son Edward Crane, bring together a wide and varied knowledge of historic building construction. Eddie concentrates on practical timber framing and conservation whilst James provides a technical and academic consultancy service.
James Crane has 30 years experience in traditional building and conservation and is a chartered building consultant and a fully qualified building engineer. James enjoys membership of the institute of historic building conservation and has a masters degree in Architecture Building Conservation.
Eddie is an apprentice trained craftsman and a SPAB William Morris Craft Fellow. He is experienced in many traditional aspects of building conservation including lime works, earth structures, brick and masonry repairs, forging and welding.
Thomas Beeby is also a SPAB William Morris Craft Fellow having a wide experience of framing and conservation.
Chris Dalton left university with a BA in philosophy. Seeking a more creative career joined us and recently achieved level 2 NVQ in Structural Post & Beam Carpentry and particularly enjoys workshop framing.
